What Dessert Goes With Chili That Will Surprise You

by Austin Sims | Last Updated: 2017-12-04

What dessert goes with chili? Chilies up the taste of your dishes, and they are versatile to be prepared ahead of time and to a gang who loves fried chicken dipped in gravy and rice cooked in a rice cooker.

Chili is one of my favorite spices in the dishes I cook because it improves not only the taste but also the spiciness of my recipes.

But just like me, you are probably wondering what dessert goes well with it. If so, you have come to the right post where I will show you exactly what desserts can be prepared with chilies.

Desserts That Go with Chilies

  1. Spice up your salads

This is How Much Is a Pat of Butter That You Need to Know

by Austin Sims | Last Updated: 2017-12-04

How much is a pat of butter? Known as the fat made from the cream of a cow’s milk, butter isn’t pure fat, and about 17 % of it is water while up to 4% is milk solids. So generally, our favorite baking and cooking ingredient is only about 80% fats. Now, I have been recently receiving questions on how much a pat of butter is and I’d like to answer that question here.

Today, butters sold on the market are wrapped in foil and are 1/2-tablespoon size rectangles. In some cases, they are for sale in plastic cups and measure between one and two teaspoons.

Not many people know what really a ‘pat’ is, and sometimes I also get confused. I can sometimes remember little cardboard, the coated paper, and the butter square, which make up the pat of butter.

In the past, you might have seen those sides of the packaging that were exposed to the elements. But this has changed, and now the butter we can buy are completely in cups or foil.…

How long do boiled potatoes last? Cooking boiled potatoes is perfect for a weekend or an afternoon snack because they’re not only delicious but also nutritious. They are excellent sources of vitamin B6, copper, manganese, fiber and vitamin C, to name a few.

Potatoes are also versatile foods that can be fried, mashed, roasted or baked and are considered comfort food. Now if you have prepared more potatoes for everyone but then there are leftovers, you probably want to know how long they would last, just as you’d find information on how long boiled peanuts last.

How Long Boiled Potatoes Last

So if you bought potatoes and cooked them in the rice cooker for instance, you can store and make them last for five to seven days in the fridge and 6-8 months in the freezer provide you store them properly.

Remember that the same applies for mashed or baked potatoes. So if you boiled potatoes, don’t keep them for more than a week in the fridge to prevent yourself or your family from suffering from food poisoning or stomachache.…

Do you want to know how to reheat cooked shrimp? Shrimp is probably one of the most versatile and nutritious foods on the planet. We can prepare it in more than one hundred ways than one.

Because of its usefulness and versatility, we often cook with it. But then if you got leftovers, the next thing you are probably worrying about is how to reheat it properly.

That is the same problem I had before. I never knew how to reheat it in the way that I could keep its full flavor and texture. So, I made a research and compiled every single thing I have gathered about it, in the same manner that I did when looking for information on how I can cook eel or oysters.

In today’s guide, I will teach you how to reheat cooked or cold shrimp so that we can serve it warm….

Know How Many Tablespoons in 2/3 Cup? The Best How To Conversions

by Austin Sims | Last Updated: 2017-12-04

How many tablespoons in 2/3 cup? This question has crossed our minds more often than we all want to admit. You can ask anyone out there, but all you will get are guesses more than exact answers.

When you read American cookbooks, you will find that recipes are mostly based on volumes and not weight. Something that home cooks find delightful to work with because they do not have to use scales to weigh ingredients. But when you find a recipe that calls for 2/3 cup of oil or flour, and you only have a set of measuring spoons, what are you going to do?

This is easy to figure out for some, but what about for home cooks who simply do not have the time and patience? Instead of frustrating yourself, we have the answers for you!…
